TABOO TOPIC- periods....

Hey All,

Just a quick warning that this post is about feminine hygiene and some silly people might find the topic a bit taboo. I'm still unsure why it's such an issue to talk about menstrual cycles, considering half the population deal with them on a monthly basis... but anyway.

I love period undies! I've been using them since 2017 and have about 4 pairs.

I’ve tried Thinx and ModiBodi. Modibodi are an Australian brand and they’re my favourite.

I get lots of questions about them..

What do they do? They protect you from and absorb; sweat, light bladder leaks, menstrual onset or flow, menstrual overflow/spotting, discharge and odour.

Don't you feel like you're wearing a nappy? Does it smell or feel wet? Not like wearing a pad.. the absorbency is really good and I always feel dry and fresh. I haven’t noticed any odours.

Are they like granny parties?

No, they’re quite cute actually. They’ve got lace trim and are a normal brief fit.

How do you clean them?

You’re supposed to rinse them and then wash them but I just throw them straight in the wash and I’ve never had any dramas. Then I just dry them on the line or clothes horse.

But why?

I've always had difficulties with other feminine hygiene products and that was the main reason I decided to give them a go, but then I also realised the environmental impact of disposal products and that was the clincher.
