I've always been enviro savvy thanks to my mums incessant nagging about recycling (but she's right!) and then I watched the War on Waste with Craig Reucassel and it all really hit home. If you haven't seen it yet, stop reading and go watch: https://iview.abc.net.au/show/war-on-waste It's a hugely eye opening set of documentaries on what we're doing to our planet and what we can do to change. Craig is light hearted but factual and really makes you want to change for the better! There's 2 series (3 episodes per series and each only 1 hour long) and they focus on different aspects, from disposable coffee cups to fast fashion, from Ewaste to single use plastics. Some of the topics on the show, I wasn't even aware was a problem, like fast fashion, tons of clothes being thrown out every day! Why aren't people donating or upcycling?
War on waste also has a website you can visit to find out more https://www.abc.net.au/ourfocus/waronwaste/
This is a great place to start to learn more about what we can do to help. So go check it out and leave me a comment to let me know what you thought.
